Coverage

This coverage offers benefits – up to a lifetime maximum of $300,000 – to NRA members who have been diagnosed with cancer. Benefits are paid directly to you, not to doctors or hospitals. Coverage includes:

Hospital Benefits:

  • Hospital Room & Board: $60 per day for first 10 days, $120 per day thereafter (up to 90 days)
  • Extended Hospital Expenses: $240 per day after 90 days (up to day 730)

 

Medical Treatment Benefits:

  • Attending Physician: $25 per day for doctors’ visits while hospitalized (up to $1,000 per illness period)
  • Nursing Service: $25 per day for private nursing care while hospitalized (maximum $2,500 per illness period)
  • Radiation & Chemotherapy: $100 daily benefit (lifetime maximum $2,000)
  • Blood & Plasma: $100 daily benefit (maximum $500 per illness period, $1,000 lifetime)
  • Ambulance: $100 benefit (maximum $1,000 per illness period)
  • Outpatient Drugs & Medicine: $10 per prescription refill ($100 annual max, $1,000 lifetime max)

Because acceptance is guaranteed as long as you haven’t had cancer (except skin cancer) in the specified timeframe. As cancer incidents become more likely with increasing age, the NRA urges you to take action now.

The NRA approved Cancer Care Insurance Plan provides benefits REGARDLESS of any other insurance you may have. You collect cash benefits to help with unexpected costs.

There’s no obligation with the program’s 30 Day Free-Look. If you’re not completely satisfied, we’ll cancel your coverage and give you a complete 100% refund of any premium you’ve paid as long as you haven’t made any claims.

NRA members in good standing who have not had cancer (except skin cancer) in the last 5 years (varies by state: 3 years in LA & MT; 2 years in IL, TN & VT; 12 months in CT, IN, MD, MO, MS, NC, ND, SC, TX, & VA; 6 months in ID, ME, NH, NV, SD, UT & WY).

Your Cancer Care Insurance Plan coverage starts the first day of the month after your enrollment form and first premium payment are received.

You will be billed monthly with administrative fees: $3.50 for direct bill, $3.00 for credit card, or $1.25 for automatic checking withdrawal.

Benefits are not payable for cancer diagnosed and treated within the first 30 days of coverage (varies by state). Benefits for treatment related to such cancer are payable after coverage has been in force for 12 consecutive months.
